The term “blunt” refers to the thickness and rough edge of the wraps that are used in cigars. Rolling a blunt can be done with any tobacco leaf, though there are a few common ones. Blunt wraps are exceptionally common along the west coast and are very easy to roll. You can find blunt wraps at most convenience stores, along with cigars and cigarillos.
Blunt wraps are great for beginner rollers.
Step 1: Get Supplies and Prepare the Filter
- 1 Gram of Cannabis
- 1 Blunt Wrap
- 1 Filter Tip (optional, recommended)
- 1 Herb Grinder (optional, recommended)
Be sure to check your blunt wrap for rips, holes or dryness. If your blunt wrap is too dry you can lick it to re-moisturize it. We recommend getting a few extra blunt wraps incase you run into any issues with your first attempt.
If you are using a filter, take this time to roll that into the shape you like.
Step 2: Grind Up the Cannabis
You can use your fingers, scissors, a grinder or something more imaginative, but the more evenly your weed is broken down, the more evenly your blunt will roll. If you’ve never used a grinder, check out our tutorial on how to use a grinder.
Step 3: Roll the Cannabis in the Blunt Wrap
Place your weed in your blunt wrap, and begin to roll the blunt. Press your fingers flat against the weed to shape it as you see fit, then using your thumbs and pointer fingers, roll the wrap up and down until the weed is as tightly rolled as you would like.
Step 4: Lick the Blunt to Seal it
Don’t be afraid to lick the heck out of your blunt, the wet blunt wrap will easily seal to itself, you can use your fingers to smooth
Step 5: Let the Blunt Dry and Enjoy!
Let your blunt dry out, spark it on up and enjoy!
