Recently, the Whaxy team ran across an inspirational recipe for any cannabis cook looking to indulge in a southern staple; fried chicken. The Mook Life has an array of counter-culture activities and takes each post to the next level with expert photography and a ‘no-holds-barred’ attitude.
In this visual recipe, the man known as ‘MasterBeater’ heads into the kitchen to shame our amateur attempts at cannabis cooking with his hand-battered, weed-infused fried chicken recipe.
First and foremost, grab all of the ingredients needed beforehand.
Don’t forget the weed. To avoid cooking off the THC, MasterBeater infused the butter and injected it into the chicken before frying. Here is a simple cannabutter recipe if you’ve never made it before.
This recipe isn’t for novices, you’ll need a syringe to inject your cannabutter into the chicken.
A good soak in whole-fat milk makes for the most delicious and moist fried chicken, and will help the flour stick when you dredge the chicken.
Make sure there’s enough flour to cover your chicken in extra-crispy goodness. Remember to season your flour with salt, pepper, and perhaps some cayenne pepper for a kick.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure an extra juicy inside and a perfectly crispy exterior, aim for a minimum of 165 degrees F.
