BELLEVUE, WA — Owners of a legal marijuana grow in Washington state are still in shock after seeing the aftermath of a burglary late last week. A man wearing a ‘Jason’ hockey mask stole approximately 24 pounds of packaged marijuana and did much more in damages.
The thief thought he was careful enough to disable all of the surveillance cameras, but he missed one and in true criminal form revealed his face. The police are hoping the following photo will help identify the man and have circulated it to the public.
Police say the criminal made his way through an exterior wall into Polygenixthc, a legal marijuana production facility in south Seattle. “With the mask, you know, the whole Friday the 13th thing was kind of a lil’ freaky,” Polygenixthc manager Lori Lizotte stated. She elaborated that the packaged marijuana was set for legal delivery to retail dispensaries in Bellingham, Bellevue, and Tacoma. Polygenixthc hopes their unique packaging and labeling will help them spot the criminal.
“It’s hard when you put so much energy, both financial and emotional, into building a business that can so quickly put you on your heels, not knowing if you can recover from this. But I’m confident we will.”
Lizotte stated passionately.
The final tally in loss and damages amounts to approximately $250,000.
