As marijuana becomes more and more mainstream, it’s only natural that there be a reality TV show about it. Entertainment Weekly is reporting TruTV will soon begin filming a documentary on the Denver area dispensary Medicine Man. Beyond the normal allure of the marijuana business the show looks to highlight the marijuana tradition in the William’s family, spanning 3 generations.
Medicine Man operates their main location right near the Denver International Airport, making it a favorite amongst tourists. It’s a pretty amazing facility, serving recreational and medical customers, attached to a 40,000 square-foot grow operation with over 75 employees.
The show will document Medicine Man’s growth since legalization and the construction of their newest facility soon to open in Aurora, Colorado. The show is a product of Flame Ventures and Wilshire studios, with the pilot being produced by 24’s Tony Krantz. No official air date has been set for the series, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any advancements.
(Disclosure: We personally know the folks at Medicine Man and are ecstatic they have be chosen to be a great face of our industry for the masses.)
