Back in September when the marijuana advocates began mobilizing efforts to educate voters in states where legalization initiatives were on the ballot, Snoop Dogg promised Alaskan voters a concert in exchange for approving the legalization effort in their state. Alaskans are anxiously awaiting the event announcement, and hoping Snoop Dogg will not forget his promise.
Snoop made this promised during a webcast interview with Charlo Greene, the Alaskan reporter who quit her job on air when revealing that she was the owner of a local cannabis club and announced, “Fuck it. I quit.”
In the interview she and Snoop laugh while discussing ways to increase voter participation for this midterm election. That is when Snoop suggested the idea of he and Greene hosting an event together where he would come to Alaska to perform, stating,
“If we get ya’ll to vote yes on proposition 2, Snoop Dogg is coming to Alaska to do a concert, a wellness retreat concert and I’m bringing some of that California with me to celebrate.”
Watch the webcast video below to see Charlo and Snoop smoke weed together (in different states), and hear how Snoop was inspired to help the cause.
