How could we make shopping for cannabis even more convenient that it is right now? Well, with a weed shopping mall, of course! You silly cannabis business owner, weed shopping malls are the way of the future! This is a pretty wacky idea that may turn out to be completely genius, in my opinion – and of course Canadians are behind it. The mall is called the Great Canadian Canna Mall, and it’s located in Victoria, British Columbia.
What is the Great Canadian Canna Mall?
Well it’s basically just what it sounds like: a mall devoted to all things cannabis . But before you start planning a roadtrip, getting your passports updated, or getting your expectations up too high, there are other products besides actual cannabis and cannabis derivates on sale there. The idea of the owners is to provide “a unique space [that] has everything today’s cannabis consumer could need.” Locals and tourists are flocking to the Canna Mall, which has a philosophy of respect for consumers’ privacy and cannabis access.
Is Cannabis Legal in British Columbia?
In British Columbia, recreational cannabis is not legal – however it’s presence and use is much more tolerated than it is in other areas of Canada. Hydroelectric power, hills and forests, and good cannabis-growing weather help the $6 billion annual cannabis haul – 40% of the entire countries products come from B.C. Mark Emery, the Prince of Pot, also happens to hail from the area, as does BC Bud.
What Are the Businesses in the Great Canadian Canna Mall?
Among the businesses that have stores in the Canna Mall are Keating Hydroponic, Potent Industry, Skunk, the Executive Smoke Shop, and Panda’s Shatter Shack. The mall is as-of-yet unnamed, and is holding a contest for name selection online, yet to be announced. The winner of the contest that comes up with the best name will win a fantastic glass piece from a local artist and a month’s membership to the Green Ceiling, a space in the Canna Mall which will provide a vape lounge, live venue and event space, private boardroom, and space for meetings, seminars, classes, yoga, and meditation among other gatherings.
What Are the Benefits of a Canna Mall?
For one thing, malls actually encourage competition – side-by-side businesses might actually drive prices down, as well. More likely, though, the Canna Mall entrepreneurs were thinking of the consumer when they got their business and cannabis licensure from HealthBC: what could be better than everything you need in one place? No more running from dispensary to dispensary to find your favorite products, or comparing prices endlessly on the Internet – just go to the Canna Mall, they have everything you need!
How Can I Get a Retail Space in the Canna Mall?
According to Ashley Abraham, owner of the Green Ceiling, and her Stephen Omelus, there are still retail spaces available in the Canna Mall, and interested parties should call Abraham at (250) 857-6911 or email http://www.thegreenceiling.com for more information. It sounds like a great idea to me, although it is a bit far from Denver. Huh, maybe I will get my passport renewed after all and take a roadtrip to British Columbia to experience some BC Bud.
