Mention the words “Valentine’s Day” to most people and you’re likely to see jaded eye-rolls coupled with muffled groans of indentured servitude to an outdated holiday based around giving the candy and flower companies their day in the sun. The good old days of getting away with a simple rose bouquet and boring dinner date are over as the ladies in our lives demand better- and rightfully so!
Here’s the good news, fellas: cannabis-friendly couples have way more fun on Valentine’s Day because we know how to think outside the box! If you and your special someone want to make this Valentine’s Day a memorable one, ditch the traditional hearts and roses mindset and check out our top picks for incorporating cannabis into the BIG DAY:
Let’s face it, roses are nice and all but nothing screams unoriginality like highly marked-up flowers you probably picked up on your way home that afternoon. If you really want to impress your date, make them a bud bouquet. Pair some lime green or dark purple buds together with your lady’s favorite perennials and you’re guaranteed to sweep even the most blunted V-Day veteran right off of their feet. Partake in a cannabis-friendly romantic activity
With the legalization of recreational marijuana swiffering the nation, there are plenty of options to exercise one’s love of cannabis and adventure. Since it’s February and thus plenty cold outside, take a romantic trip to a cabin in the mountains, go skiing or ice skating and don’t forget to roll up numerous fatties to help with alleviating the pain that will surely come from taking a spill or two on the ice.
If you don’t have mountains or ice nearby (where do you live, Death Valley?!), there are plenty of other bud-tastic options. For example, here in Colorado we have ‘puff and paint’ art classes where it’s totally legal (and awesome) to light up while learning how to paint.

Make an infused meal for two
Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show off your cooking skills- or in my case, lack thereof. Skip the restaurant crowds and stay in the comfort of your own home as you impress the heck out of your date with your mastery of culinary art and cannabis.
Try your hand at making a delicious cannabis lasagna, weed mac ‘n cheese, or Mary Jane’s pizza. If you have a favorite meal in mind but aren’t sure how to incorporate your greens, cannabutter will never disappoint- and you can put it in EVERYTHING.
